In the spring of 2010, my brother Matt and I traveled to Jalisco--the Mexican state celebrated from the Río Bravo to the Yucatán for its mariachis, its soccer players, and its tequila.
Near the end of a day of sipping our way through the distilleries of the town of Tequila, we were served a margarita rimmed with a combination of salt, chile, and lime. I loved it instantly.
Halo del Santo® ("Saint's Halo") is our all-natural blend of kosher salt, fiery chile, and tart citrus. It took us nineteen iterations to get exactly right, and we're so proud of how it turned out. On sweet-and-sour cocktails like palomas, on savory brunch cocktails like Bloody Marys, and even on Mexican beers, it's hard to beat.
We use 100% natural ingredients worthy of a top-shelf, craft cocktail. The spicy, salty, and sour notes are bright, clean, and lively. Finely ground organic rice hulls keep our garnish from clumping, and it contains none of the debris visible in grocery-grade competitors. Taste a Halo rim once, and you won't want plain salt on your glass again.
And if you think Halo del Santo tastes great on a cocktail, wait until you try it blended into the only Mexican-style lollipops made in the entire country. Our paletas con chile don't overload you with a mouthful of salt on the front end, and they don't become boring on the back end. They're delicious from start to finish.
